Trump wants to have the American flags at full mast during his inauguration.

If you guys live in the US, and even outside. You probably know former POTUS, Jimmy Carter, passed away on December 29th. As a result, America goes into mourning and as a show of respect, flags are at half mast for the following 30 days on most government buildings, ships, etc. which fly a flag.

Trump has since been upset about this and wants to break this tradition of respect by having them flown at full mast during his inauguration.

This is completely disrespectful to the 39th President of the United States, with Trump reportedly saying "Nobody wants to see this."

Anyways, just wanted to share that, I think it's crazy in general, but not that crazy from Trump. I mean, we're talking about the guy who was the first president to miss an inauguration in 150 years.

Yeah according to him 'Dems are giddy' and 'only care themselves and don't love our country' because of the abiding by this longheld flag procedure.
This is his perception because HE would certainly be giddy if it were half mast at Kamala's inauguration. These are rules clearly stated and were even followed in the same fashion over 50 years ago at Gerald Ford's (I can't remember honestly.) inauguration lol. It wasn't a conspiracy then and it's not one now. It's not a personal affront to him, but not showing up for a transfer of power IS a personal affront to all Americans however.
I certainly want to see it. I want to see that he doesn't adjust American policy to suit himself.

In all honesty, the flag doesn't need to be at half-mast for so long following a former president's death. We should stop treating presidents like kings, but unfortunately we're moving more in that direction (alarmingly so).

Along those lines, it's also incredibly petty to change the policy because of one person's feelings getting hurt. The entire country should not need to cater to the emotional needs of an 80 year old manbaby, but here we are. Embarrassing and cringe.

It says it all about what type of person Trump really is. It defies belief that he managed to somehow secure a second term after everything that has happened.

Yeah, Trump might finally make it possible for me to go outside for once. I'm pretty sure most people don't feel that much influence from the US president, meanwhile I'm literally under house arrest because of the war-mongering Biden. (No offence to Biden, I don't need to touch grass that much, but would still be nice, you know.)
