Help Trazedone results

Was wondering about how well trazedone would work in conjunction with some of my other meds

Trazodone was prescribed for me by a doctor to help handle insomnia. I took as prescribed (can't recall dosage) and it gave me a heavy brain-fog side effect, and I slept heavier but did not feel well rested. I was on other antidepressants and anti anxiety meds but didn't notice any combined side effects.

I would be careful with trazodone!
Its sometimes used as a preop antiemetic.
It dries up stomach secretions.
If I remember correctly its action is believed to be an antihistimine so makes you drowsy. Because it dries you up it could cause bowel, kidney or other organ damage if overused.

Any info on how large amounts of trazodone would mix with olanzipine, buspirone and or prazosin? Not trying to live AND be on dialysis if it was a bad mix

I overdosed on 3 out of 4 of those all at once a couple months back (trazodone, buspirone, and olanzipine) along with a few other meds. Ended up in the hospital 10 hours later so high that I cannot remember anything that happened that day, but according to my dad I had to get my stomach pumped. I was also had extreme trouble walking for the next couple of days, but that was the only lingering effect.

I've overdosed on blood pressure meds separately before, and all those really did was make me pass out a lot.

Basically, this combination probably won't kill you, and probably won't injure you, but risk of the latter is definitely higher than the former. Overdoses are unreliable in general, and I think the main way they kill you is through liver and kidney damage, so probably a bad choice for that too.

I was taking trazedone for a traumatic brain injury once, where lost all my congniget abilities, the pill fog was extremely bad, my tongue was swollen and like leather every night.
I woke every morning thinking I was gonna die, depression hit so hard with the pill fog, though about suicide every day.
Heavy duty drug for sure, keep your "wits" about when on heavy doses of this stuff.

as you can see every one has a different reaction.
I was prescribed it because I had trouble staying asleep not falling asleep.
I take it early because I like to go to bed early soon after. I have never actually experienced drowsiness before going.
I have had no side affects at all.

As far as ODing on it I'm not sure but I doubt it. My body has built up a tolerance for medication because I've been on so many. I'd be shocked if you don't wake up. You probably just sleep a little longer and that's it.

Can't imagine that's a fun high either, I appreciate the response, was worried about the liver or kidney issues so prob not chosen method

I'm overdosed on trazedone and klonopin few years back and landed myself in the ICU on life support. I don't recommend tho.

I took it for a month in the evening (lowest dose which is 1/3 of a 75 mg pill, sometimes 2/3) and now I only take it occasionally because it makes me super sleepy and sluggish the next day and its hard to wake up. Tried it because I get awful insomnia in the summer and to regulate my sleep schedule, works for falling asleep but I already have too little energy so I couldn't let myself be even more tired during the day

I was contemplating BP meds. What did you take and how much? In theory dropping your BP very low is dangerous and can be fatal.

I don't remember either, this was a few years ago. I can't really tell you anything.
