If you let the train run over your neck would it derail the train? I feel like it would but than again, i dont know anything about trains.

no, that wouldn't happen, it would just crush your skull or decapitate you.

Your corpse would have no effect on the train. You would be mutilated instantly. They're designed to be durable enough to surpass any obstacle from rocks to metals and yes even people and animals.

It's possible your head won't even touch the wheels, since I think that's the scenario you've thought up.

Many trains nowadays have those, for a lack of a better word, barriers in front of a first wagon, to actually prevent anything getting under the wheels, making the trains possibly jump and wiggle, reducing the comfort of passengers.

In other words, depending on the train, your head would get crushed and kicked off the rails before it would even make it to the wheels. And even then, no, only way to make a train derail like that would be if you had a lot of nitroglicerine in your head.

I just Googled what causes train derailments and 2 of the causes were "debris on the tracks" and "the surface is disrupted" so I think a human on the tracks could possibly cause a derailment.

---
It might also depend on the type of train. Freight train versus those passenger trains that serve as public transportation in major cities might react differently.

No it wouldn't for sure, keep in mind there are cargo trains that carry a good amount of weight, what's a mere 100-200lbs going to do to stop it?

Nope, it wouldn't, but what @TotallyNotWielkiM said is true. There's a very good chance that the wheels won't even come into contact with your neck.

The train has too much momentum/weight for it to be derailed by a human skull.
