I have been battling depression with passive suicidal thoughts for a long time and I have been able to manage it until a few years ago. Since then, my depression had been getting progressively worse for me. I have been on an arduous journey with the VA to get timely and effective treatment. I had to get off of all medications, including my anti-depressant, because of stomach issues. I was finally able to get TMS (https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/transcranial-magnetic-stimulation-for-depression-2018022313335) authorized through the VA. About 6 weeks into treatment, I have finally experienced a little bit of improvement... a few breaks in the stormy clouds where the sun came out for a bit. I am wary and scared to be optimistic, because nothing in the past has really worked for me. I would like to hear from any of you who have already received TMS therapy and know how you feel about it.
