• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Like the tittle says.
Are there things I can do to feel a little more upbeat in the mornings. Not even medication helps.
I need to feel not like shit for at least a second.

God how I wish I could be of more help. Im gonna be very honest with you, only moments where I stopped feeling like shit were when I was either high, drunk or both...

If medication is not doing what is supposed to I would recommend seeing a professional, tho is easier said than done. Also try to start the day with something you like maybe? Eating something you enjoy, with a good book... idk, very rainbows and puppies type of thing but hopefully something can help you.

Wishing you good luck, please share if you find something that works since many of us feel the same way.

For me it depends on the reason.

When mentally exhausted, I watch painting/drawing videos or nature documentarys, take a bath, play games.
When I feel empty, then listening to music and/or singing works best for me.

I hope you find some inspiration from the community!

I was just going to start a thread to bring this up, but this is better. I found this poem:
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
written ~1927 by Max Ehrmann, just an average guy from Indiana, and I've just started using it again to redirect my depressed thoughts towards a more positive outlook. The word is Latin for "things to be desired", which hits home for us here at SaSu.

Upbeat music is a good mood changer, but you really have to find what works for you. Goody Two-Shoes by Adam Ant and Walkin' on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves are two of my faves, but some people can't stand bubbly.

And there are always the Forum Games for instant gratification. Someone's almost always bumping numbers over there, and reactions bounce back and forth like water drops in a hot greased pan (if you don't know what I'm talking about, click the link).

I hope you find a way up and out of the darkness, and thanks for starting this thread.

i always end up taking a short walk (like 5-10 mins) and only let myself listen to upbeat songs (or anything that's not gonna make me feel sad) but it doesn't work for everyone.
