We really don't know. Yes, the first person on the scene says he broke a window to get her out but for all we know she could have been waving him back and telling him to leave her alone. You just never know when you hear one side of a story and she will never be able to tell us hers. If she did take Magnus with her, who are we to judge? she knew exactly what she was doing, she explained he would never settle with anyone else and German Shepherds are notoriously one owner dogs.
She went on the day and time she wanted and she is at peace now. Love and blessings to her wherever she may be, always ❤️ 20/01/2019

We can all pretend that actually this was nice and peaceful and exactly what she appeared to want, purely to make us feel better, but come on, we all know deep down that this went very badly wrong, l just hope she wasn't in as much pain and terror as could be assumed. It's so horrible.

Fwiw l can not ever sympathise with the decision to kill a defenceless but healthy animal against its will purely because of some romantic notion that the dog will take the same "journey", dogs are very loving and very loyal and this particular dog has suffered for that loyalty. Obviously that's not the main issue here, but l feel very strongly about this.

@Chinaski, of course, and i am not "pretending" anything. Just not drawing any hasty conclusions until a full report has been released by the fire marshal - or whoever is responsible and not making any judgements.

I think she took her dog with her. If you read her posts about her dog, the evidence for this is strong.
actually, https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...-able-to-go-through-with-it.9108/#post-157573

i knew i remembered her posting something about her having a safe home to go to, and i'm glad i found the post. additionally, there is no mention of an animal dying in the article. and yes, i know this isn't conclusive evidence the dog is okay. however, speculation only serves to inflame.

Could've perhaps chosen a better word.

The speculation about her dog is not baseless. Had the dog been rehomed there'd have been none of the vague "l will take care of him but will not explicitly say how" comments in many of her posts. One doesn't have to read too far between the lines here.

Anyway. It's a horrible and genuinely upsetting story. I just hope she didn't suffer too much.

i never said it was baseless. however, there are also reasons to believe she had other arrangements. as a result i don't see the point in suggesting she killed her dog, particularly when it is likely to elicit emotional replies about what a horrible thing she has done.

I don't see the point in not explicitly stating the dog was to be rehomed when directly asked about it either. Whatever, this is not pleasant for any party involved, very grim thread.
