Does anyone else wonder, why is the universe like this? I'm not religious, all I want to know is what's actually out there.

I just don't get why we're even made to begin with. What greater purpose is there for our existence? It all feels so stupid. I've researched into this countless times from physics, pure mathematics, philosophical, and it just makes no sense. Why are our lives just a glitch in the universe that just so happened to be made under the right conditions. It could've been anything else. I could've been anyone else. It doesn't help that as much as we want to, there's so much stuff missing in the smallest and biggest order that we can't even fathom. Like, I'm literally at a loss for my own life when it comes to living and coming up with something that would've been a taller order outside of it. I highly doubt there's any higher being evaluating us, but I also can't take an approach of where this life is meant to be simply because it is.

Like, it sounds so fucking stupid. I really wish there was just a get out for free button, but I'm stumped. With all that being said, my thoughts go further into what comes after death. Like where am I supposed to go? Will I just wake up in a new life? Am I just gonna float in space without the capacity to think and only witness? Is there a larger dimension we're suspended in? Does our consciousness come from something else entirely? Are we just the universe trying to experience itself?

This life is so miserable but there's so many pretty and cool things in space I wish I'd seen instead. The only thing bugging me is if I'd die, there's a possibility that I'd never get these answers, but on the contrary, all my questions might be solved.

I'd love to hear everyone's own interpretation of this and what they think.

Sidenote: I hope everyone has a good/better day.

When i was on a bunch of acid once I came to the conclusion everything in the universe is a part of God. And the reason God made everything is because there is an intense feeling balance of positive and negative energy and it got too much for God to deal with so it split itself into everything with no memory of it to carry the burden of the energy easier and to experience new things. When we die we go back to being a part of God. Some people carry the negative energy more than the positive sadly. In the end everyone is everything i thought. It scared me fr lol

Sounds crazy cause I was really high. On that trip I was convinced this was 100% true and felt it deeply lol

I don't think our existence is necessarily a rare occurrence of pure chance. there is so much more to this universe and existence than we can currently comprehend. Every time a new big discovery is made in physics, it changes the course of our understanding of absolutely everything. To be honest, we as a species will definitely go extinct before we even manage to come close to the answer of why we or anything even exists.

Tbh, same. Acid hasn't worked for me but I've done other stuff and thought similar things. My only problem when exploring this thought was that a god/higher entity would essentially be either ctb'ing itself (which I guess wouldn't make it a "god" by my definition) or choosing to be reborn from a scientific standpoint. My thought was that if you were to explore the universe from another dimension outside of it, you could theoretically see every point in time. what actions are taken and what celestial structures move, on a holographic-like statue. (i.e. I'd point to a coordinate and it could be us having this exact conversation, move slightly and it could be the future all within a tangible holographic like structure). If this higher entity existed on that plane, then it could show a new concept entirely to how we see things, idk. I know there's this thing called the holographic theory, which I'll have to look more into.

Just to add on to what I said earlier, dark energy (thought to be accelerating at one point, search the "heat death of the universe" for more) the thing which pushes space apart (counteracts gravity pulling everything together) was thought to be accelerating. Researchers recently found out that it could be decelerating, which could make gravity win in the end and pull everything back together. This would basically cause another big bang, meaning that in your description god could just be stuck in a loop, from what I've read this is just referred to as the big crunch.

imo the most interesting part is the positive and negative part. Dark matter is speculated to make up about 85% of the universe, while matter (us) is about 15%. This is why I kind of got swayed out of this idea when I thought about it too. BUT you can also observe on some research papers and even a normal image search on what dark matter looks like, and you'd see that it actually looks similar to the neural structure of our brain (might need more research on it), but this also shows our brain structure's complexity taking on in very, very large scale. If you're looking at negative and positive energy purely as a spiritual or metaphysical indicator though, it'd make sense.

I get what you mean by the convinced it was true and feeling it deeply though. I've been doing that a lot whenever i hit a blunt and start looking into shit too much and pieces start clicking, until they don't. It's cool to see someone else's perspective :^) I think the coolest theory might be dimensions intersecting or the brane theory if you wanna look those up.

I don't think so either! :D To me there are trillions of stars, light years apart to where if we looked at most, we'd probably see everything long before any life, detectable at that, to have occurred, and much less for intellectual life granted you have the conditions for them to exist. The chances there are other species with live-able conditions isn't 0, just like for us. I agree with the second part as well, so little but so long in terms of time.
