As a teen, I used to think optimistically about death even when I wasnt suicidal. Specifically, I remember thinking happily "I'll be dead before I know it," somewhat understanding that time seems almost instantaneous once you're on your deathbed. As if your life never even happened.

I think it had to do something with experiencing a sense of wonder and as if life on Earth wasn't interesting or magical enough. I don't know why I always suspected death would be more interesting or magical but I did. I didn't know if it would be eternal nothingness but I fantasized about gaining superpowers after death lmao
