So I went to the psych ward for 2 weeks and there I had groups with these two idiot women who didnt know to give any advice and were overall really annoying.
So this one time I mentioned this site (not by name) and pro ana sites and I kinda laughed when I talked about it cause idk I just dont feel scared or unsafe when I come here, I like this site.
Everyone was so uncomfortable and was like "why are you laughing, that is no laughing matter, that is a very scary situation" and I didnt know what to respond cause like idk, I dont feel the same thing?
Idk, am I wrong for this? I feel like im not, I mean suicide talk for me is like talking about the weather

Their entire ideals goes against this site and they believe that it's better for information regarding suicide methods to be hidden and that people should always live as long as possible no matter what. You're not wrong for this, it's people who can't understand why others want to ctb (or at least try to understand) who are the wrong ones. But then I guess nobody outside of this site can understand because it contradicts their pro-life attitudes. The way they see it is it doesn't matter how much someone is suffering, as long as they're still alive who cares about anything else.

My therapist thinks this site is interesting. Not being an NPC, she's simply interested in relieving people's suffering. She knows my username & is fascinated when I send criticisms of the shrink-industrial complex

If those bozos had any mojo, they'd naturally come here, brandishing their Sword of Recovery, and vanquish our suicidal demons. FC would spam SaSu with pro-lifer posts; dozens would respond with recovery-brags

One of the mantras repeated in effectively combatting mental health issues is "silence kills". They want us to be able to talk about it without stigma.

Here we don't have to be silent, we can be brutally honest and open, around people who understand. And yet they want to take that outlet from us. It's hypocrisy to me.

Actually my therapist said persuading me to live is not their goal, but rather to help me to figure out what I really want, she said that she had worked with cancer patients, and some did choose passive euthanasia. As long as I don't reveal the detailed plan, she won't send me to a psych-ward

They studied for years to become qualified workers and get their salary for that. It's nearly impossible they will talk about suicide openly or objectively.
And even if some of them are open, I wouldn't discuss suicide with them because it wouldn't be genuine and I would feel awkward, considering what I stated in first.

The therapist's task is to prevent suicide and no matter how painful a person's life is, the therapist will always try to convince that living is better than dying and in the main part he will be right, but if a person is really sick, paralyzed or has brain damage, then no one will be able to decide for him what is best for him. I am very surprised at people who, being deeply disabled, still want to live.
