I live with my brother, I consider him to be someone with a similar intellectual depth and empathy to me... until we get to the subject of suicide and my reasons for it.

He keeps telling me that if I do it, I'll end up being reincarnated on this cursed planet and I'll have to "fulfill" the stages or outstanding debts I have here, because according to him and his beliefs, everything in the universe has an "exchange"...if that's the case, why don't I have a reason for being here in this cursed place where individualism and selfishness prevail? And if I really did do something to be here, then why would "God" put someone who stole an orange in the same cell as an individual who destroyed the lives of several people? Why do the most profound need to teach the most backward, when around 99% of the most imbecilic don't want to learn and prefer to remain in their ignorance?

It seems that there's no way around it....I haven't yet forced an end to my stay in this place because....there are beings who need me, or rather, my financial benefits that I have from my dead parents, and which unfortunately my brother and my kittens also depend on. And unfortunately there's no one else he can count on. I hope that by the time my benefits run out he'll at least have found a job, so that way i can leave in peace knowing that at least the three of them won't be in dire need.

Sorry if some words are out of place, english is not my native language. Xxx

Your English is excellent.

I've always been puzzled by the reasoning in reincarnation. Surely, if a person is being punished severely for sin in a past life, they are more likely to struggle and possibly sin in this one leading to more and more struggling and sinning in future incarnations. If God is supportive, why make it harder and harder for those who struggle? Surely, it ought to be the other way round.

I also wonder what the end goal is. Say you manage it. You nail being the perfect human. For what though? What comes next? What were you 'training' for?

I'm sorry there is this misunderstanding with your brother.

i know how it feels to only have people around you that don't understand. it sucks the life out of you because you crave to be seen, only to be met with ignorance or at times even aggression. i'm sorry you ended up in this situation.

Thank you for your kindly words, the existence of this forum makes me believe that perhaps in the very distant future humanity will actually evolve and be more supportive of its equals.

Thanks for the compliment, i'm still trying to learn more.

About the questions, i have exactly the same thoughts...many religions say that spirits evolve to get closer to the concept of "god" that we have, some even say that this would be to achieve full happiness...but frankly, what explains that continous "loop" of incarnation after incarnation as you said? Basing on this, it would never be possible to get close to what we know as "God" and we would be condemned to incarnate infinitely without knowing it...oh my, there is no hell worse than this for me.
