I now have to have my gallbladder removed. I've already had two cancer surgeries last year. My plan to cbt is next year and I foolishly believed I'd only have emotionally pain ahead of me not in addition to. I can't not have it because it's if it leaks I'll end up in emergency surgery. FUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!

(sorry, I just need to yell into the void)

IDK how you plan a year in advance but I've planned it like 10 times in the past 3 months and failed at every one of them. Can't you just let the cancer itself kill you? Theres like no easy way to do this and I found out the hard way how useless "planning" is, lol.

I wrap my arms around you and give you the biggest hug ever. You are NEVER EVER alone, and you ARE family here.

I had my gall bladder out, as it is cancerous and I did great and so will you.

When you are led into the surgery room try and remember that I will be by your side every step of the way.

When I read this, I cried buckets, as not only did it bring back memories, but that you have had so much already.

HOWEVER, you WILL come out of it fantastically and be better than ever, as you have me and I bet so many others here supporting and rooting for you.

Lots of hugs, love and I am with you in spirit, as someone asked if Walter is really my 1st REAL name, and yes, it is, I believe in you so much to put my name here.

Walter

You've been on the site so long an have so few posts - that's always a unique mix to see. I read your recent post about telling your shrink. Ugh. So sorry this is on you, on top of everything.
Insufficient spiritual hug...

I had my gallbladder out more than a decade ago, and besides a week recovering, it's been fine. I wouldn't even know I didn't have it if I didn't know I'd had it out. Can they do it laproscopically? Ask for that if possible, it's minimally invasive and easier recovery

If you read my previous post it will answer how I've planned a year in advance. I plan every thing. That's what I'm good at. It's what I do for a living. No way is easy but there exist levels that run the gamut from painful to less painful. Dying from Cancer is awful and extremely painful. I find your line of questioning and your comments flippant. Please do not comment on my posts anymore. I neither find it helpful or I'm not you.

Thank you. I speak with a surgeon tomorrow. My colorectal surgery was laparoscopic and that surgeon said cutting me open once means a minefield (because of scar tissue) later if another abdomen surgery is needed. But, the gallbladder means incisions in new spots so fingers crossed. Again, thank you.

Thanks for the hug. I really appreciate it. I joined back when I was having ECT (the last stop for treating depression). It was brutal but it actually worked. Oddly enough when researching ECT at the time it was believed the treatment was effective for a solid 5 years and then maintenance. Guess who's hit the 5 year mark and dropped back down to pre-treatment level depression…..

Hi Walter. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Of all the places to find support, to find my people, I needed to come here…

I've never been afraid of surgery. If anything I always figure if I die on the operating room table it will be painless. And isn't that the hope when dying…

I'm honestly not surprised about another surgery. I feels par for the course for my life. However, I will call your name before I go under as a reminder I mean something to someone somewhere.

Thank you.
