Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I would occasionally be practicing choking myself using various things like sheet, belts, shoe laces and etc and I was so frustrated that I couldn't make myself pass out but only got the painful head exploding feeling. Today I tried something different and it worked in 80%? I used cable from old pc speakers and door latch as anchor point. I was standing with cable tied around my neck and leaning forward. Most of the times I was only feeling little uncomfortable on my face and tinglings in my legs but after few more attempts I somehow managed to reach the "seizure" phase or whatever it was. I was leaned forward and after couple of seconds I started feeling so light and like I'm no longer aware of what's going on and suddenly my body started thrashing around. It was so hard to find a balance but I wasn't scared, just confused. When I finally managed to stand straight I felt at peace and relaxed and it didn't hurt. I can't stop thinking of repeating that but I also don't want to end up with a brain damage or whatever. I really want to tell my psychiatrist about it but I know she would put me in hospital because I've been there three times and they know me. I'm in a state where I don't want to live but I also don't want to die but if something fatal were to happen to me I wouldn't mind

this happened to me too; I accidentally conditioned myself to attempt PSH everytime I have a meltdown in order to calm down. high five.... 惘( dωd)ćƒŽļ¼¼(^_^ ) I still haven't been able to fully pass out while doing it save for momentarily blacking out, but the whole tingly feeling thing has happened to me before.

I don't think you could get away with confessing you're hanging yourself, but you could probably vent about the ambivalence you feel towards living, maybe? As long as you clarify you're not killing yourself or actively harming yourself, maybe you could find a roundabout way to vent about it all...

If you are truly determined to hang, there are several things you should do differently. Forget using speaker wire, especially! I supposed PSH can be a "stress release" for some, but the risk of dying is always there. Don't try it unless you are sure you do not want to wake up. Not attempting to discourage--the choice is entirely yours. BUt do many sure to get all of the details right.

It is interesting that the speaker wire worked over other materials. I wouldn't trust it to hold either, but it's interesting considering so many fail to reach this point with rope.

It is interesting, I agree. Possibly the first time I have heard of someone using it.

Be very, very careful doing this. A "practice" session can turn into the real thing very easily. Also, repeatedly cutting off blood/oxygen to the brain can lead to brain damage over time. Hanging practice should not become a regular habit.

As mentioned by another commenter, repeated engagement in strangulation is strongly discouraged.
In testing PSH/FSH you are effectively starving your brain of oxygen for periods and this can result in neuronal die off. While the brain often recovers in benign cases such as these given time, I would nevertheless very much advise against repeatedly engaging in this as permanent damage can occur and there are reports of this on the forum.
