Around a year and a half ago I was speeding with my friend in the passenger seat recklessly and cutting up just to get some adrenaline and some sort of euphoria (it is selfish and retarded of me I realise now) and I ended up crashing into the back of a truck on the right side where my friend is, I remember the speed being exactly 147 KPH/91 MPH which should be deadly, the car hit a truck and the truck spun around and so did mine, then I ended up crashing into the side of an SUV while spinning and then hitting a curb and being stationary there. it was all in slowmotion and I can remember all the details from that moment,

believe it or not neither me or my friend had a single scratch on us even though all airbags opened and the corner of the car where my friend was sitting was literally compressed inside. glass broke but didnt shatter inside the car. I only had some back pain which went away in around a week.

I was grateful i survived unharmed at that time because I wasnt actively suicidal even though I was still depressed and empty. Then I had to deal with paying for the SUV to get fixed which was a german car so it was expensive, same for the truck. And I had to stay for months without a car and dealing with Insurance headache and bullshit.

Now a year+ later, I wish I would have died in that crash and never had to experience what I experienced this year. Or atleast I wish the losses and stress I was in drove me to CTB

I've wanted to CTB by crashing my car at a high speed but hearing stories like this of people surviving makes me hesitant. It's a risky suicide method. It all depends on multiple variables like speed, weight, angle, exactly how the car collides, etc. You would think a crash at ~150km/ph would almost certainly be fatal, but not always...

The problem is, unless this is in a rural area, emergency services will be called immediately, and trauma surgeons have gotten so good at their jobs that being saved is a high probability. Cars have also gotten much safer.

So you are risking being saved, and possibly ending up being disabled or something.

To be clear, every method carries risk. However, the probability of failure is too high. A lot of variables would need to line up in your favor to be successful and doctors would not be able to save you.

I sometimes still think of using this as a method especially when I am impulsively suicidal, If you have a sports car or a modern car in general u should be able to go way above 150 KPH, but I am assuming if u can find a highway with something rigid u can crash into going maybe 250 KPH it is most likely a gauranteed death. i have tried this with my seatbelt off but I always pussy out around the 150 mark due to being scared of hitting a car on the road and not getting to my mark where theres a concrete seperator because it splits into a tunnel on the left and straight on the right

Wouldnt the car catch fire or explode if the speed is high enough and if it hits something that doesnt absorb the force?

It's certainly possible, but the probability, for me at least, would be way too dependent on many factors lining up perfectly.

Let's say you don't lose consciousness and then possibly burn to death. The excruciating nature of suffering from dying in a fire just seems like too big of a risk to take.

Crashing does not seem like a very good method at all, considering that cars are designed to prevent you from dying in that exact situation.

The only thing i have to say to u is that sometimes when im alone i drive reclessy on purpose hoping that i would die. But I can't make an acvident on purpose because im afraid. It would be the perfect death though. No one would suspect of murder, but the risk is too hight

Road accident feels too risky. There's a good chance of surviving with broken bones or any other physical damages that will be hard to recovery and will just create problem for other family members. I have one motorcycle and thought of doing it as motorcycle accident are more deadly but still decided to go with something else with better success rate.

Idk, but someone just posted a new thread today about trying & walking away from their totaled car with no injuries, & it seems like they can hardly even believe it.
