I am ready to die but I really don't want somebody else to suffer because of this conclusion.
I don't want anyone to have nightmares about my corpse
or not be able to get the image out of their head.
I want to leave knowing that I won't harm anyone with my death.

I've heard a story of a woman who disappeared and was found 2 Years later
in a hole, she allegedly digged herself. She had overdosed, poisoned herself
or just did something that would kill her shortly after, before going inside the hole,
covering herself with leaves and earth and waiting for her death.
And if the story really is true, and she was found 2 Years later,
there would have probably only be remains of her, like bones and hair right
(sorry if I'm wrong, unfortunately I don't really know much about this)?
And I think a skeleton shouldn't be too traumatizing (at least I hope so?).
The problem is that I'm honestly afraid of forests but I still want to die without scaring anyone
but I don't know how ;(

I honestly think this something that can't be helped. If you have people in your life that care about you then it's going to hurt them. Someone will find you and it'll probably impact them too. I've had these same thoughts and it makes me feel really guilty. I don't really think there's a way around it.

You're probably right but I really don't want to accept it. I don't care if it's a family member, a police officer, or just a random Person who will find my lifeless body, cause in the end no one should have to see something so horrible.
And we're aware that it'll be horrible for that person, so maybe that's why we also feel guilty and bad. But is there really no way to just disappear?

Even if you succeed, they'll find your body eventually It is better not to hide and accept it. I'm really sorry to hear you feel this way a lot of people here do too.
There are a lot of CTB methods that don't destroy your body or face and i guess that in a way might relieve your concern.

There was a detailed post where someone discussed going on a hiking trip to ensure they are not found. In those cases where the person disappears, those close to them might find some comfort in the possibility that the person is out there somewhere living a different life. Though its hard to say if they will think that way, disappearing could cause more pain due to uncertainty. Additionally, its very hard to disappear and start a new life without being discovered, so its unlikely to be believed.

Not very sure about things though so I stand to be corrected. Overall, its hard to prevent any kind of trauma from the process.

There have been a few posts about attempts to get to a remote and difficult/rarely traversed water area where the currents or rock formations should make it more or less impossible or at least unlikely for anyone to find them before decomposition makes them unrecognizable as a human corpse. Leave home with a story about recreational rafting or kayaking or something and try to make it look like they accidentally got swept out to sea. Not sure if anyone gave it a serious try or how we would know whether it worked the way they wanted.

Another fellow hiked to a mesa where nobody should likely find them without unusual straying away from the closest trail. I think they stopped posting after the final word that they were about to begin the hike there, but again no way to know whether they have been found in the meantime.
