Does anyone else have difficulty receiving help because of the career path they are in / want to take?

I am in college to become an elementary teacher. I am currently going through a slow crisis, but I am hesitant to seek out medical help. I feel it's getting to the point I could be hospitalized, but to be blunt, if the parents of my future students find out I have a record of mental health issues, I could be fired.

The stigma really doesn't make me less suicidal. It just makes me cut deeper in places people won't see. At least most school dress codes require modesty!
