The statistic that jumping is successful 90% of the time when falling six floors is pretty commonly cited (the Suicide Faq says this, for example). But does anyone know the more general statistics on this? What are the rates for different heights? How reliable is, for example, 4 floors, or 5, or 10? I imagine this graphs out to be an asymptote - the reliability increases rapidly at first, and then the increase slows down and never reaches 100%. I'd be really interested in seeing the statistics, if they exist (and I imagine they must exist for the six floors-statistic to be real).

I Will Say as well how You land . Watching videos . So If 6 floor is 90% . That means each floor add 15% more . So a couple to be sure good to go . And Will be like 2.5 seconds to fall
And don't falling on Your feet .

You don't really need statistics for this stuff, the highest building in any city near you will always be deadly. The human body is fragile, nobody survives a 50m jump on concrete. Thats the height of the highest building near me

All I know are fatality statistics based on falls in construction. 4 stories had a 50% survival rate 8 stories had 0% survival rate. The next factor was the type of ground - concrete being the best for fatalities

Depends a lot on what you land on I think.
