I had one first degree encounter with suicide and during the weeks and days leading up to that moment, food was the last thing on my mind. I could hardly swallow, I don't think I ate a proper meal at all.

I absolutely love food, and loved to cook. It's one of the (relatively minor in perspective) things that drives me crazy right now. Being sick, I can't cook and can't eat the same. I miss food and talking about food and reading cookbooks so, so much.

As far as favorites, for me it's never dessert but dinners. Probably a heavy Italian dish of some sort, or totally opposite like a great sea bass meal from a nice restaurant but not Asian style, I hate when they do that to sea bass. Lots of good wine after one strong manhattan.
