Hello,
So I purchased sodium nitrite maybe 2ish months ago, didn't see a reason to also purchase testing supplies,as the site I ordered from didn't seem questionable.
Just now did a 'test' using my blood. Sprinkled a tiny bit of the sn into my palm, then allowed several drops of blood to drip and mix together. It immediately turned chocolatey brown, and I compared to the natural blood, which was cleary red. Also tasted a few granules of the sn and...ya,salty.
Very close to just sampling table salt.
25 g= 2 tablespoons
50 ml= 3.5 tablespoons
Good to know if you don't have specific measuring containers or a scale. Just wanted to share!
Edited to also add that I have been fasting for about 17 hours with the exception of three small chocolate covered pretzels I bought yesterday as some last candies to enjoy. Have had a cup of coffee (many hours ago) and very little water. Plan to make and drink the sn mixture in about 5.5 hours
