It's the funniest thing I've ever seen, my country has low disability like is 20 euros (fyi), accentuated disability pay for 100 euros flat and severe for 125 euros, you need about 300 REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY stretching it. Well you can live with 125 too, just with no electricity, internet, food other than rice and water or rice + water soup. Also it's REALLY hard to get on heavy disability or even accentuated, LIKE REALLY HARD, heavy is for people who can't talk, can't see, can't hear. I could maybe get on accentuated.

So job wise; if you are wheel chair bound (not my case) you might be able to learn programming (stretching it hard...since that requires good family to back you up and a place where you are not getting bullied and put down for being in a wheel chair, impossible unless your family is high earning and/or you are home schooled or sent to private schools that cost thousands of euros)

But if you are mentally fucked and traumatized and want to have your brains splattered out every 15 minutes, it's kinda over for you, in the kindest way possible, I'm not joking.
AND THE HORRIFYING THING IS, nobody cares AND THE MORE HORRIFYING THING IS there are people worse off than me and many others and nobody cares about those people too.

Ah, let's not forget that if you are disabled and the employers find out they can CHOOSE to not hire you and the ones that hire disabled people are usually median jobs that require you to know languages or programming, yeah let me get disability pay of 100 euros and just learn german with duo lingo before I die of hunger by the end of the month.

Like I could work for a bit more, right? and if I decide that mental illness has the best of me, I could just get disability pay for 100 euros and I basically soft locked myself into 100 euros a month for the rest of my life since no minimum wage employer will ever hire me over a fresh 18 year old or someone with no disability. The only way I could land a job is to SOMEHOW find the will power to learn either programming (impossible with my current migraines, lack of wanting to live, mental illnesses, trauma) or to learn a language and be a translator (same as before, also mentioned this already)

FOR ME IT DOESN'T MATTER, I don't want to live, I don't want to try to live anymore, I don't care if I die, I have my SN, I can fast 2 days and just take the SN anytime, I'm fine, I have a way out.

The problem that pisses me off extremely hard is that ALL OF THIS ALSO APPLIES TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO LIVE but has the same hurdles as me. it's pure torture, it might actually be hell. I'm so sorry for these people, society literally doesn't care, I mean we are talking about the same species that did all the bad things that I won't type here because we already know them, from animal abuse and slaughter, to pointless wars and what comes with wars, to laws that oppress, my jaw would fall off.

I live in a country where I'm able to afford owning my own car and an apartment in a smaller town while on disability, so I know I'm very lucky in that regard. In many countries, it seems like you're bound to suffer even more once you reach a point where you're no longer able to function according to societal norms.

I'm very sorry for all the shit society has thrown your way. I hope you're able to find some peace in whatever you decide. Sending you a hug.

Its the same way in USA. Very shitty pay and very hard to get takes like 3 years and you have to have a hearing with a judge. People judge you for being on it and think you a freeloader for being on it and think you are living it up playing video games all day and ya even if you want to work part time on it you will get overlooked and some 18 year old with more energy and stanima will get it and you can loose your benefits

I could afford a 60 euro toy apartment and 40 euro toy car on pay lmao.
I probably won't get to it.

There is also invalidity pension which is HARD to get and requires pulling strings if you are not literally a vegetable (even if I won't be able to work anymore, I don't look like it). That's a bit better, it's 250 euro, before you could have severe handicap and invalidity pension, from 2026 you won't be able to have both so from 350 euros which some people have both and they barely live on it, they'll be forced to 250 euros, lmao.

You also need to pay tax on house and car from 2026, XD. How.

That sounds difficult 😄 350 Euro's a month would barely cover food costs alone here.

I suffer from an illness where I look fine physical, so I should be able to work full time, right? There's not much understanding for disabilities these days, which is part of the reason I want to ctb. As @divinemistress36 mentioned, there's also not a shortage for unskilled labor, and why wouldn't the employer just hire someone without a disability?

But that's just the world we live in I suppose. People stepping over each other to get "ahead", and people who's already at a huge disadvantage only gets further behind.

Yep, we all have the same hurdles to go through unfortunately.

Much worse in the US. The application process takes years to get Disability support. People without family or friends to put them up end up homeless. No medical care either in Southern states. They don't help with job placement either.

I agree. I tried to go through vocational rehab which is suppose to help those with disabilties find jobs ya it was a joke, all they could offer was being a bagger at Target, at the time I couldnt be on my feet.

This is capitalist society. You are measured by financial worth and ability to make psychopaths money. You are a slave/consumer.

Disabled / immigrants / poorest / abused / homeless etc have more worth as scapegoats than as citizens, to politicians who are entirely owned by billionaires/corporations.

It would be less bad, if the general population were't propagandised daily to agree with this obscene pov.

So, anyone disabled is hit from both sides - by government contempt through bare minimum support - and by social contempt for their plight. "Normal" people are so fucking stupid, they don't even realise that they're just as vulnerable as soon as anything happens to put them in the same boat.

No wonder so many of people in this situation ctb. And that's part of the authorities' plan. Impossible cost of living isn't a fucking accident. Record profits of basic needs providers isn't a fucking accident.

I find it amazing there are no suicide wheelchair bombers hitting those who have driven them to death.
