i know it's really violent and painful, but surely it wouldn't be long before i pass out? and if i get really fucking wasted beforehand it shouldn't be that bad, thoughts?

Sounds like a bad idea tbh... slitting your wrists is already hard enough but I think the neck would be even more difficult...

Can't imagine the success rate of the attempt would be high, more than likely you would just end up with a very visible scar or an impairment for the rest of your life .

It would be nearly impossible to not puncture your windpipe and asphyxiate on your own blood.

Cutting in any form is considered a non-method for a reason, I wouldn't :( the movies make it look easy, but your brain is hardwired to stop itself before it cuts what it actually needs to in order to bleed out so it'd become unnecessarily painful, messy and likely won't be fatal and like the guy up there said, would just scar or impair you.
The intoxication argument also doesn't really work in reality either… it impairs your motors and you're just even more likely to mess it up and cause an even slower, more painful death, if you even die at all. I'd reconsider this one.
