I'm having difficulty figuring out how to tie a noose. I have to do this by Thursday at the latest.

The last time I went to a parking garage I just stood at the top, frozen, unable to jump.

Anyone have any advice? I figure jumping would be easier but I have to overcome the fear and self-preservation instinct. How do I do that?

How high is the garage? Jumping isn't a very reliable method.

If I were you, I'd try hanging. You'll have to practice in order to get it right.

Another person successfully jumped to their death but then again I don't know from which side of the garage. The part I stood over last time had a grassy area so I don't know if I would have been successful.

How do you recommend I practice? I was thinking of full suspension hanging.

I think the garage has seven floors.

Hanging yourself from the parking garage? But on a serious note, you could end up falling on top of someone else, so I generally prefer hanging over jumping. Lots of things can go wrong when jumping.

I don't think 7 floors is high enough. I'll try to find some research I quoted in another thread.

By practicing I meant tying the knot, finding a support, and and testing whether you can successfully block your carotid (i.e., feel faint, without the "head exploding" sensation).

I feel like hanging would be more reliable, depending on how tall the garage is

I found this post from a few days ago: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/my-final-exit-path.5799/#post-93563

In patients with head and chest injuries, a 50% mortality rate was estimated to occur at falls from 10.5m, compared to 22.4m in those without injuries to head or chest.

50% mortality rate to ininjured jumpers, according to Dickinson et al.

Have you thought of the charcoal method. You need a quiet place, a tent and a disposable BBQ. Just leave the BBQ to cool down and place it in a zipped up tent when you go to bed.
But if your asking hanging or jumping probably hanging .

The charcoal method is a little trickier than that, but it is very appealing, yes.

Not sure in stories, but 150 foot has to be the height for 99 percent death rate or 200 feet into water.
There is easy step by step guides to follow on the internet for knots, I'm having problems also.
