I'm really sorry to hear about your cat. I read once that losing a pet affects people the same as losing any other family member. that's probably obvious to any of us who have had to experience that, but it was comforting in a way to hear that and let myself grieve as deeply as I needed to. I hope that you find your peace and comfort too.

I am sorry for your loss. I suggest giving yourself some time before you make any rash decisions.

I've been through it many times and it is comparable to losing a loved one, and it never gets easier no matter how many times it happens. My suggestion would be to give yourself some time to get out all the sadness, then after awhile, get another kitty as there are a vast amount of them in this world that absolutely need a home and someone to love them, and you would both be helping each other. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm not sure what the helium accomplishes in this case. Also, I would imagine the helium in the balloons is not pure helium, which means you'd still be getting oxygen same as breathing normal air.

These are all non methods
Helium isn't gonna be pure
Melatonin isn't gonna make you od in the tub. Think about this a lot longer. Im sorry about your beloved

Melatonin doesn't sedate you my friend, it only makes you sleepy

And in my case, melatonin really never made me sleepy... I'm not sure it did much of anything for me really, but if it did anything it just made it a little easier to go to sleep if I was already sleepy when I took it.

depends a lot on where you're from.
my plan wasnt to depend on the melatonin + vodka + balloon helium, the main method doesnt reallt need any of it. its to get yourself dizzy enough to pass out quickly in the water. i thought itd be easier w the above, but it didnt work

'dizzy enough to pass out' =/= unconscious from hypoxia. I also don't quite understand how you planned on executing that method.

I really do not think this has a good chance of working, would be wishful thinking it can be successful. There are so many things that just have to ideally align for it to work. As relieving as the idea of it feels, please understand it will likely only work by pure accidental miracle. Realistically, you will still be alive and feel much worse off due to your plan falling through and also possible injuries/complications.

I understand it is unbearable and that this feels like the "final nail in the coffin", but also please remember that you are far from the first person to experience this situation (or to even lose a pet while already struggling with mental health). I lost my closest pets when I was at the peak of my depression and had literally no one else in my life. This is not to invalidate you, but just know that there are so many people that have gone through this, are going through it, and will go through this. It is unfortunate but it is possible to get better.

Something that can help, even if you're not spiritual, is imagining that your cat is by your side in spirit and protecting you. Delusional-ish or not, it can help. She is forever going to be there on your shoulder and she will try her best to protect you from pain.

Also, remember that grief is not linear and can take a long time. I hope this helps even a little bit and I wish you the absolute best.
