Hi!

A stupid vent about my job (probably because I'm an idiot).

I have to deal with bad coworkers (especially one or two I really don't like). One of them keeps micromanaging me, gaslighting me, and writing long texts (even on my days off) just to say "You did something wrong." (According to her, I always do things wrong, even when I follow her instructions lol).

There are also issues with a so-called supervisor, a bad HR department, and a few other things.

At the beginning of April, I started a countdown to keep track of how many weeks I had left until the end of my contract, which ends at the end of this month (June).

There were 12 weeks in total, and now there are only 4 left (including this one).

During these weeks, I've thought a lot about quitting. I even had a job interview that went pretty well... but unfortunately, it wasn't worth taking.

So, a part of me really wants to quit. No kidding. But another part... still has some self-doubt. Even though my bosses and coworkers are usually pretty good at making those doubts disappear in a matter of minutes lol

If someone else (that I know, or don't) would ask the same, I'd think.... That person has done more than enough, no matter if he worked for a few Months, one year, or more.

And... That's why I don't understand why our own minds make us feel this "quilty", "sadness"...

Sometimes I'm really sure about quitting, also taking some days off too.

And, sometimes, I have these damn doubts, it makes nosense at all.

Maybe because I was a Neet? And I know what it means?

But I really can see myself still going there, for other months... Maybe until November, or worse, until January/Feburary.

So, why is it so hard?

Yeah, I can see that.

I had too many days were I woke up already tired, or nervous, or with anxiety, because of this.
Bad thing, is that... At the beginning, I kinda liked this job.

I've left many a job because i am not happy.

Yeah, I left some jobs too, because of many reasons.

And yet, for some reason, this time is more difficult

Okay, I'm going to vote the opposite way. It's a fine line between doing something hard and doing something too hard, so be careful. Take care of yourself, but see if you can make it. It's a short time - 3 weeks? And I think making it will make you proud of yourself. Just pretend you are watching a movie of all the crazy coworkers and bosses. And then you can have something you were successful at even if it sucked. Take care!!!

Firstly, I'm so sorry. I fucking hate work bullies, they're mentally stuck at age 15 and they've probably gone through life doing that shit without consequence. Healthcare, fast food, and office jobs always have these type of people for some reason.

Depending on your country and the economic situation, I don't think you should up and quit unless you have your funds together. I also think you should find a job where you don't have to deal with coworkers like trucking, warehouse, or maybe even start a business. It's easier said than done but your mental health will thank you.

Based on this post I've inferred that you've faced this issue more than once so I'm guessing you're likely ND? A lot of work bullies and managers tend to pick on ND people because modern work culture is competitive and people will do anything to stand out and make everyone else look bad and ND's are an easy target.

It's normal to have self-doubts in a situation like that. I think it's because people usually have a built-in desire to have meaningful work, or at least reasonably bearable conditions. The situation you described here is in my opinion a classic textbook example of a job that just isn't working out, which happens all the time. Endure this one, while you look for another, and don't look back. It often doesn't feel right to quit, but that's not your fault, it's the messed up world of employment.

I have a coworker who tends to think he's in charge. He used to say, "Teamwork, you need help, I help you, I need help, you help me."

Only problem was, you help him when he needs it, but when you go to him, he yells, "I ain't got time, I ain't got time.".... his way to avoid helping you.

I finally got tired of doing his shit, and I used his exact words against him, and he lost his shit. He yelled "Well you better make fucking time." I yelled back at him, "I ain't got time bitch, ain't got time."

He got mad as hell and stormed off. Since that moment, he has never said "I ain't got time" again.

Now he pretty much leaves me alone, and I couldn't be happier.

People are so petty and can go out of their way to try and make others lives miserable. I remember when one of my teammates sent a mail to our manager. It had a spelling mistake. A single spelling mistake. So apparently our manager didn't like this particular teammate. I don't know what the issue was between them, but I didn't really see anything wrong with this guy or his work ethic. So the manager comes over to our desk and berates this guy so badly. I'll never forget that. It's what's so messed up in the workforce hierarchy. Your up lines can give you so much shit for practically nothing.

Just have to sit and take it. I'm sorry about your situation. A lot of us are in a similar boat.

That's mostly the way to deal with workplace bullies.I'm really confrontational myself. I don't do any passive aggressive stuff. People learn real quickly not to mess around. I'm never an ass to anyone. But if they're an ass to me then I'll definitely reciprocate in kind.
