I was out shopping this afternoon, and a store attendant kept staring at my scars. Situations like that are usually avoidable since I tend to only wear short sleeves at home, but it's starting to warm up where I live. I guess it's a natural human tendency to be curious when you see something out of the ordinary, but it still really hurts.
I wish I could go back in time and undo the fact that I used to cut myself. Apart from a couple of relapses, I haven't done it for years now. I'm so used to seeing my scars every day that I don't think twice about them, but when someone reacts like that, it reminds me of everything I've been through and how badly I used to cope.
I'm sure I'll feel better later tonight after some time to myself, but I'm just upset :(
