Every time I feel embarrassed about not having committed suicide I remind myself that there are several billion other people who have not committed suicide.

I don't think there is anything to be embarrassed about. No matter when your death date is or is or if you are actively planning to ctb there is a comradery here. LoveTakesManyForms touched on it earlier - people who stare into the abyss are just a little bit different from everyone else. If even for a moment we have experienced that disillusion from the experience that normal people have and talking to others here can make both life and death a little less lonely in that way.

it's… a nice place. very comforting. i mean — is it that bad, staying alive and connecting with like-minded people? 🤔
I feel that one
Whatever helps you to stay one more day is just what you need when times get rough. Plus it's rare to meet people who suffer and understand each other more or less. It makes you feel less alone ☺️
