The People's Voice (formerly known as NewsPunch and Your News Wire) is an American fake news website[1] based in Los Angeles. The site was founded as Your News Wire [5][11][12] in 2014 by Sean Adl-Tabatabai and his husband, Sinclair Treadway.[3][6][13]
Wait so is this fake or not? I saw this news too and was shocked more people here aren't disappointed by it. Even if it's fake, there's no community note yet so it's likely that almost everyone who's seen it will continue to believe it's real which will set progress on legal assisted dying way too far back. :/

Seems pretty suspicious. You'd think an official set up would have contingency plans if the method failed. I've wondered about that in the clinics. I wonder if they simply have more N on hand to inject if the first lot doesn't work.
But seriously? Considering the so-called 'first use' of the pod in Switzerland resulted in everyone involved- including a photographer being arrested a few weeks back- what do you think they'd do to someone who strangled someone?!! That would make global headlines- surely? Unless there was the most incredible cover up.
Still- when they were promoting it as this safe, painless way to die. 100% effective- I did have to think- how do you absolutely know unless you've put something living in it and witnessed it die? It's surely only theory otherwise?

Active euthanasia is illegal in Switzerland (administration by a third-party), but supplying the means for dying is legal (assisted suicide), as long as the action which directly causes death is performed by the one wishing to die.
For instance: Once you drink Nembutal at Dignitas in Switzerland… you're on your own… no one there can 'do anything' if the drug is absorbed slowly… which has occasionally led to longer times to death.
It is possible that the reported neck injuries could be related to the woman's condition, skull base osteomyelitis, which may have contributed to the observed marks. However, Exit International and The Last Resort state that without the full autopsy report, which has not yet been released, these injury claims are speculative, and they firmly reject any allegations of intentional wrongdoing or malfunction.
Very hard to judge from such a small bit of info. Where is the whole article? I would be quicker to believe this if they didn't say she had to be strangled. Very sus. I am sure those people have better methods lmao.
