God, shit like that makes me fucking sick. This chick obviously wanted to die. She was gorgeous, yet wanted to die, and then instead of euthanizing her and letting her escape the pain, they come up with the idea to make her look like a fucking monster. Oh yeah, yeah I'm sure she'll really be able to beat that depression now. I'm sure she'll be able to overcome that sorrow that she couldn't overcome as a beautiful young woman now that she has her new and improved monstrous, hideous face. Good, GOD people are fucking cruel.

Don't be so cruel... I guess operated persons have enough problems with having a failed attempt, calling them abominations seems unnecesary to me...

Most people ignore the dark underworld that exists. Imagine what a social worker/nurse/psych nurse/cop/etc.. sees? It's everywhere. What's the stat? A suicide every 30 sec? A million a year?

Yes a million per year worldwide. About 45k in the US per year.

We are living in dark times. Or maybe I'm just on the dark side of the moon.

Breaks my heart that life could end up like this—with a plastic bag over my head in an anonymous hotel room in some state with a letter to the coroner next to my dead corpse.

But the alternative of continued existence is worse. I've seen enough. I am thoroughly thoroughly through.

Milion a year doesn't tell the whole story, because it's by year and average life is 80.

1 person in 70 die by suicide. So almost each time you go out, you cross someone who will die by suicide.

I'm sure the surgeries won't stop there -- with time, she will look more human and less badly photoshopped, but I do agree that they should have let her pass.

probably similar? there are still many old accounts of people going that way. although there are times of more or less.

suicide was her choice but the grotesque fate of surviving and having half her face off was not her choice,calling her 'HIDEOUS' 'ABOMINATION' is so fucking disgusting and judgemental and that kind of bitchy lack of empathy judgement that some are doing here would fit more the anti-suicide crowd than a forum like this. Imagine you comitting suicide and ending up disabled or disfigured and some asshole saying 'omg what a freak'

Exactly. And the fact of people liking or supporting that comments calling her monster is a shame.

I reread the post in question since it was a comment I originally liked. He actually did have empathy for the girl, and he felt really bad for her that she has to now go through life in a worse position when she made the choice to end it because of someone else's intervention. That was his main point and I agree. I have nitrogen, and if someone interrupted it and now I had to go on as a vegetable, I would be very upset myself. Now, he was way too harsh on describing her current appearance, so I have removed my like since I do not condone anyone doing that. I have been bullied constantly because of my appearance, so I know how much it hurts and would never do it to anyone else.

Sorry if I looked aggresive or something, it's only I can't see this kind of comments about physical aspect of others. I know all you think it's a bad situation but honestly, if my face were operated and I saw a load of comments saying how I look a beast or an abomination, personally I woudn't like it at all.

It looked more than others were insulting her than feeling emphaty for her.

Someone mentioned this story to me today when I mentioned my depression now I am living in fear of attempting my suicide of ending in a worse position than where I am that is so scary to me. This story is so sad and I can't imagine living disfigured on top of all of my other ailments. I already feel in someways that there were times in my life that I was depressed and suicidal but things were way better than they are currently what if that happens down the road because of an attempt. So scary anyone else living in fear because of this?

It amazes me how many people I've heard of trying to ctb with guns shoot themselves in the face. Not even trying to be mean, but that's not where the brainstem is.
