Hey everyone, does anyone know about rTMS Therapy ( Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation ). I had undergone 10 sessions a couple of weeks ago when I was extremely suicidal. Ever since that treatment, my suicidal tendencies have come down. To rate it on a scale of 10 (my suicidal tendencies), I was at a solid 8.5 or 9 pre-rTMS therapy, however, now I think it has come down to a 6 on a good day and 7 on a bad day.

The reason I am bringing this up is that pre-rTMS, I was convinced that the only way to escape my pain was through ending my life, however, now - I am in a dilemma if I must just suffer through the pain and see if things work out eventually or just end it all. I don't know how to get out of this constant tussle and back and forth that's going on in my head.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have never heard of this therapy. If you don't mind me asking, did you undergo it voluntarily? Have you noticed any effects other than blunting the suicidal impulse? Hope you're doing better

Yes, it was done voluntarily (although my parents coaxed me into doing it). I can say that my suicidal tendencies have gone down a fair bit. But it doesn't seem like a permanent solution to be very honest.
