Would opening up a tank of propane gas in a car with windows closed work?
Not keen on the plastic bag method.

Most likely not and you create an environment that becomes highly explosive. You can consider CO (with charcoal in a car/tent) or inert gas /N2 with a mask. No advice only you can make the decision.

I really woudn't count on it. The bag would be better. Altough I have the Exit-Bag ready I really am not a fan if this method.

It seems too peaceful. And the risk of failing is still there. I prefer my heart to stop than to first become braindead.

I don't feel like writing down and explaining the technical and practical difficulties, so I will give you the abridged version.

Car goes boom-boom
Horrible smell and nausea
Several canister may have to be used then a single one.

Wouldn't recommend because of safety issues and nausea/horrible smell for a prolonged period.

Don't do that. The risk of explosion is too high. (You might not care about that, but anyone nearby will.)

as well as what everyone else said, the smell and hissing when you open the LP tank will freak you right out
