The awful thing is, I'm probably not. Or at least, he's likely better at the things that are more highly valued in this world.

Or, his Dad picks up the failures- one or the other. How good would we all be if we could take on new business ventures that fail and then, someone else bails us out? Didn't that happen with the casino? Didn't his Dad buy a $3 million chip to bail him out? Quite a nice safety net.

But then, who knows? The injecting bleach (during covid) one was kinda funny. Like, I know there's thinking outside the box but, yeah.

I'm more disturbed that so many vote for him to be honest. Like- he's one man but that's the majority of the country thinking it's a good idea. I imagine a lot of members now hate me...Sorry! Rest assured though, it's probably my ignorance not understanding it all. Maybe there were good reasons. I expect he's a good negotiator.

There must be reasons. Maybe I'm too stupid to see them! I really don't know much about politics. I always feel it's safer for me not to vote! (I'm in the UK anyway but, even there, I don't really trust any of them.) Maybe I'm not utterly stupid but I'm too lazy to be well informed so- that's probably equally as bad!

No.
Irrespective of political views, underestimating another person is dangerous.

I am not a Trump supporter, but I also do not consider him to be a "second Hitler".
But if someone thinks otherwise, then underestimating Trump is a mistake.
Trump can be cynical, corrupt, etc. but not necessarily stupid.
That is why when any politician says something seemingly completely stupid, I do not automatically think that this politician is stupid. Perhaps this politician is simply clever and what he said has some purpose.
There are many corrupt snakes, psychopaths, etc. in politics.
For a very large part of these people, private profit counts, nothing more.
Trump is no different, so even if he says something seemingly stupid, it may be aimed at, for example, manipulating people.

Of course, I am not saying that there are no objectively stupid people in politics.
There are certainly a lot of such people too, but I think that one should always be careful with the final assessment, because someone may be cleverer than it may seem.
This also applies to Trump.

Of course I have to add that I am an objectively stupid person, so my judgments may be wrong, but I only shared my point of view.

It's pointless to compare yourself to people you don't know
He didn't win the election all by himself.
