People wanting to live long

I wonder why most people wanna live longer.
Medical advancement already has stretched life to huge length. Yet they want more of the same.
What is there in this place thats so alluring, that makes them wanna stay seemingly forever? The newest iPad or Xbox? Can't be there boring 9 to 5 job. to generalize a bit.
Or maybe its just the sheer indoctrination of death being this evil that needs to be avoided for as long as possible.

life sucks snd always has. but 25 years of life back in stone age or whenever okay I can handle that. But 90 years of this shit is just a punishment.

Because these people don't struggle with huge problems like we do.
But I can understand that people want to live longer to see their children and grandchildren longer.
I remember my grandmother who said life has no sense when you cannot do things normally (she was in a nursing home for years, disabled, and died at 90). I was not sad when she passed away because she suffered so much for years and she wasn't well treated in this nursing home.
But I don't think our generations will be 90 because of stress, pollution, junk food ...

I'd never understand that as well as all I want is to not exist, I'd just never wish for the suffering of this futile, torturous existence, I find it so deeply undesirable to exist in every way and I find it a burden to suffer in this existence, all I want is to be gone, I just want to never suffer again, I find it terrifying how a human can exist for decades longer with no limit as to how much they can suffer just to face the agony of old age.

Most people are awful and live purely to torment each other. They never ask themselves why they exist or what they are doing. Beyond the basic operations of eating, acquiring resources, defecation, procreation their mental palette consists solely off torment, humiliation, intentionally causing pain, and so on.

As unluckysadness said above, some people aren't ill like we are. However, I never understood where they find strength and desire to live because I always felt that something's wrong with me. As a teen, I started to have troubles with mood and self-esteem (no one bullied me or something, guess it was my fate, lol). I didn't understand how to feel happy without a reason. I always needed a reason to have a small wave of euphoria or a short burst of motivation — both faded away pretty fast. I can't imagine how normal people live, how they manage their everyday problems and how they aren't afraid of becoming old. I never wanted to live for so long to see myself as a weak, feeble, more unattractive, completely alone, poor crone. Other people have real reasons to live — they are healthy, have families, don't have depression, they are loved and safe, have a stable life, they will see their children and grandchildren. I'm not talking about other kinds of people tho. If they wanna live for so long then they all have their own reasons behind it. I have only dreams, nothing else. Rn it feels like a torture. Can't imagine the feeling as more and more years pass. For me, it should end pretty soon. Fuck this life.

Most people are happy because they get to lie, torment, degrade, do evil things. They dont want to die because they then can not do evil things anymore. As Thomas Aquinas said, the weeping and gnashing of the teeth of the devils in hell is because they can not torture the righteous anymore.

A year ago, I was in a relationship with kids and two dogs. I was happy to be in a loving partnership and loved being Dad. Coming home to be greeted lovingly by the dogs made my heart sing. I wanted to feel that forever. Yet, it was all a delusion and when it fell apart, I mourned it like a death. Learning about the betrayal and lies broke me. To this day I carry this pain around like an albatross strung around my neck.

I had already suffered from depression and PTSD, but developed anxiety soon after. Most days I can't even leave the house. For this and many other reasons, I can't wait for my life to end. I can't imaging carrying that pain for 30 more years.

You're right. But some people are typical normies who go through a cycle "born, go to school, finish university, find work, get married, raise kids, die", and do it without a problem even if they aren't fully happy. I agree with you tho, there are so many evil humans.

I envy people like those, as a concept I wish I could experience all the stages of life and grow old. Not my 90's but well into my 70's. There's no way I will, if I don't ctb in the next few months it will be sometime I'm sure before I reach my 30's, I really just can't imagine making it long in this world. However, I do wish that I could experience what it feels like to actually want to/enjoy living.
