I have been working on a partial setup for sometime as it seems to be my only feasible way to go.

I have a canopy bed, so have attached one end with a constrictor knot and the other has the noose. I can sit on the edge of the bed and dangle almost to my knees.

In my practicing, neck pain is really bad. I have felt definite pressure but haven't gone far enough to almost pass out. I also have rope marks on my neck, which makes it difficult to be seen by anyone without alarm (I did have a recent ish psych ward stay after ideation).

How do you get over the hump of taking the final step? I am hoping to attempt and succeed tonight and I'm very scared. But my life is falling apart and I'm on a time crunch to exit before things get worse (finances, job, family, depression, health…you name it).

same, i wish i knew. when my neck hurts i stop. i've been practicing and putting the rope higher and just dropping my body weight fast because if my vision goes black i won't care about the pain, i didn't succeed yet but i'm here if you want to talk more about this method
