for a while now i've decided on using this method, i haven't tried it out because i dont want to risk brain damage but i have a good set up and know where to apply pressure. ive seen some people make comments about it thought that either it is very painful even though it's supposed to be considered painless because you are unconscious or that it's only painless if you 'do it right' which is very difficult apparently.
to me, as long as you get yourself in the right position where the pressure is indeed on your arteries and you feel yourself getting dizzy, i dont understand what could go wrong (if you have a ligament that won't break and if nobody will find you). i also dont understand how it could be painful once you are unconscious. even if your body experiences pain you won't be conscious of it. where does this 'it's very painful' thing come from?

also wondering if using a second method just in case it doesnt work somehow (though i dont know how that would happen) like taking pills to ensure i will die instead of lie paralysed for hours would be okay or if it would possibly conflict with the occurring hypoxia

It doesn't hurt, just a lot of pressure. If you are lucky to be unconscious quickly, even better.
