These people successfully completed a partial hanging from a dumpster. Why is this so easy to accomplish for some people and impossible for others? There have been doctoral dissertations written about this on here and some people can't seem to pull it off.

i think it depends on two things mostly
1. what the effect of their setup is
2. how much the person willing to endure
the better the setup, the more people who can handle it, and the more someone can handle, the worse their setup can be

imagine just walking into a store buying phone cables, going to the back of store and then doing it and getting successful, damn.I've seen so many threads just on what type of rope to buy.

people plan suicide for years and still fail with all sorts of methods.

99% of deaths happen without research, without testing, without preliminary trials.

In most cases, those who follow through haven't spent weeks studying or testing knots. They didn't run experiments or ask for advice on every little detail.

They acted. And they didn't stop.

That doesn't mean seeking information is wrong, but it's important to remember that success doesn't depend on technical perfection, but rather on determination.

Even basic or improvised means become lethal when there is no hesitation.

Those who wait for the needle of their perfection-meter to hit the highest point often end up postponing forever.

Perfectionism is the first ally of failure.

I always wish to be them as all I want is to not exist, it's just so cruel and dreadful to me how it's so difficult to be free from this futile, torturous existence, I always and only wish to cease existing in peace and never suffer ever again and I just see so much cruelty in how I cannot just have a death like falling asleep with no more pain and no more suffering, I always and only envy those who are no longer burdened with this existence.

I have posted on this thread before, but this particular story breaks my heart. For a mother and son to kill themselves together. It's just brutal. I think it was because they were homeless. I don't think the mother bore her child for nine months and went through the hardship of childbirth for this to happen to her son.

Life can be so brutal. I'm sure living on the streets is a horrific experience.ughh.Rest in peace, both of you.

mm, adult son, phew, not a child, idk whether it was 100% informed consent or who persuaded who.

PS: The term "Social Security" feels... off, those small welfare checks are more like a "money trickle" than actual security. Even the (figurative) meat salt in the cupboard disagrees, as his plastic home is as fragile as Social Security.

What kind of phone charging cords did they buy?

I guess they just tied the cord to the dumpster and how to do partial there?

Now I understand why they don't allow you to bring phone charging cables into psych wards.

There is a lot of truth here. What I find slightly ironic is that the same kind of advice is given when you try to make your life better (getting a promotion, starting a business...). Basically it's the same key (action) regardless of the outcome you wish...
