I managed to find my sweet spot for partial however I find myself standing up involuntarily after passing out.

I think my issue was I had too much slack on the rope.

My setup was similar to the choking game video.

My question is if I am putting the rope under my Adam's apple where my sweet spot is. When I pass out will the rope end up moving/coming loose? Under my chin doesnt work for me due to too much tension in my neck muscles preventing me hitting the carteroids. I've also noticed the more fear you are in the harder it is.

Is there a risk of passing out and ending up in a position where you're not hanging properly and your conscious. Are there any reports of brain damage from partial on here?

Thanks

The rope will likely slide up eventually as your body goes flaccid after you pass out. There's a study that in 98% of hanging victims, the rope was at the top of the neck. (See Table 7 in this study.)

If the rope slides up, that means additional height loss. Add to this that your neck will constrict, the rope will have some stretch, and the knots will give some as well as they tighten. If you test your setup by putting full weight on it – e.g. by tying the noose close to the ground and stepping into it with your foot – you'll be surprised how much height it loses, even if you tie everything perfectly.

I'm planning to do full suspension myself, but when it comes to partial, position is extremely important. Personally, I wouldn't attempt it in any position other than standing. I did a little experiment recently, and measured the height difference between a high kneeling position and sitting on my ankles, and there just isn't enough distance. I think even a high kneeling position can very easily turn into a sitting position – a risk I wouldn't feel comfortable with.
