So 90% move on with their lives like nothing happened? They just recover automatically and continue to finction? How does this happen? How do most people not break and collapse?

They're finding PTSD is something that can be random, genetic makeup, individuals neural pathways, memories are stored in the hippocampus so there's lots of variations on a scientific level

modern studies are only as good as the source of funding (or lack thereof)
probably best not to hold modern scientific community as source to all truths. some truth, sure.
