I could never understand anti-suicide especially as existence is so bad, existence is something so cruel and torturous with no limit as to how much one can suffer, if a human exists for long enough all they are destined for is to decay and face the torture and agony of old age which is so horrific to me. I just see so much cruelty in how many humans want to make it so others suffer as long as possible, anti-suicide just causes so much harm and suffering, people should be able to die painlessly when they want to instead of the suffering and torture of existing seen as to force and prolong no matter what.

It's funny you mention this, because now at my age, I find myself being less emotionally affected or guilt-tripped by suicide prevention media.

I have noticed that I tend to think more about the person who took their life and why they did it, as opposed to the suffering of those left behind.

I used to feel guilty about my urges when I was younger due to media like this, but I noticed that I don't anymore.

That's how I know the slope I'm on is spiralling downwards, but I don't think I'm going to climb back up this time.

Much love. ❤️

The anti suicide agenda exists because people recognize suicide as a non life-affirming action. It doesn't affirm to the belief that life is inherently valuable and they can't handle that. So they berate suicidal people by forcing them to live whether it be through preventive measures or societal gaslighting/ metaphorical rape. The fact that life isn't inherently valuable also means that their suffering is meaningless and every cope they have for the machine that is life is futile.

Most people like existing. People in my country are largely pro choice for others who are terminal or in a lot of pain. People are less certain about those who might recover.

I think there are a great many people who are naive about the struggles of people who are suicidal, especially people like us who have so much difficulty getting methods just to have a peaceful death (I know for me my first attempt I was 6 years old). There are also many people who have been suicidal or depressed and recovered, and they think their experiences apply to everyone when that's simply not true. I have empathy for people who are anti-choice suicide. I used to be myself. I think they also believe that pro-choice suicide is just pro-suicide, when pro-choice suicide is wanting people to have dignity and choice in their death, not encouragement of their desires outright. Personally, I will always advocate for alternatives first knowing there are so many people who have been suicidal and/or attempted and were able to move on and are happy now. Good for them. That and people who are only situationally suicidal, like someone who is homeless, disabled, stuck in an abusive situation, etc, who would be ok if they actually had the resources to be able to live and escape their situation. In that case, it's better to direct resources to being able to help them instead of provide them death, when most likely, they don't truly want to die, only escape an avoidable suffering. But I will also always advocate for the choice to die to exist as a last resort. I know that it's what I want for myself, as it's been my whole life and I've never been able to overcome this.
