I haven't bought any SN since I don't have access to it currently, but once I get it my plan will go something like this. I also don't have any access to prescription meds so I'll be using OTC substitutes. I will also test the purity beforehand using nitrite strips and the blood test. Is there any issues with my protocol?

Main components:
- SN 50g (25g extra for second glass)
- Painkillers: Tylenol (or Advil if I can get it) 600mg
- Sedatives: Melatonin 1-1.5g
- Anti nausea: Emetrol 3 tablets (if I can get it)
- Antacid: Pepto Bismol 4 tablets

Method:
  • 4-6 hours before, do not eat
  • 2 hours before, don't drink water (or at least minimal, like ice chips)
  • 1 hour before, take melatonin and Tylenol.
  • 30 minutes before, take Emetrol and Pepto Bismol
  • 10 minutes before, prepare the drink. Pour 25g in 25ml of warm water and stir until reasonably well dissolved. Then add the rest of the 25ml and make sure it is fully dissolved.
Prepare a second glass in case I vomit. Also bring a trash can near in case.

Drink, lie back and put on some music :)

i think all is good but maybe you could get a stronger sedative? something otc like benadryl-- it works better for me than melatonin, so something you might want to look into!

If possible, consider fasting more hours - 6, at least - and why are you using a painkiller? To alleviate the discomfort of SN? Another thing is test how your organism function with melatonin, to be secure you're still consicous in 1 hour.

Pepto Bismol may slow gastric emptying and delay absorption. It's best to avoid it.

Huh... I never knew benadryl could be used as a sedative; this is super helpful. Thanks!

I see...thanks for your input, this is also super helpful

I've seen some other SN protocols as well as read the guide, and I'm pretty sure they mentioned something about painkillers. As for the melatonin, good idea; I'll test this a few days prior.

I don't have any access to any prescription meds right now, so melatonin or benadryl is the best I can do. I'm thinking about switching to benadryl now though.

Melatonin does not sedate at all. It's a natural hormon that exists in your body and is created at night time to motivate you to sleep more. It actually has no effect if taken normally.

If you want OTC kind of sedation medication then I would go with Diphenhydramine (Benadryl). It also has anti emetic effects and used also against nausea. For some people it also helps against anxiety.
The cons of this benadryl is that it could affect the effectiveness of metoclopramid in the function of speeding up gastric emptying.
