I don't see how this method could fail.. first I take a large dose of sodium azide, then quickly shoot myself in the head with a shotgun.. even if the shotgun blast doesn't cause instant death, survival would be impossible with a stomach full of sodium azide

yes, I definitely plan to do that... my fear with a shotgun has always been the fear of survival, but with this method, survival would seem to be impossible... even if medical help arrived, they would start treating the shotgun wounds, but that wouldn't matter if I had taken the sodium azide
Sounds like a solid plan to me.
The only problem I can think of is that after you drink the azide, you may be freaking out and not capable of properly shooting yourself. I don't know much about the azide method and how long you'll be able to function for either...Last edited:
it seems very solid to me.. I feel some relief now that I have a plan that will work... and if I am unable to get the sodium azide, I will use sodium nitrite, which is very easy to get

I think it takes at least a few minutes for the sodium azide to have any effects... so that would mean I'd have to pull the trigger very fast, within a few seconds... but that would make the trigger easier to pull knowing that I just drank a suicide mixture
Yeah and I suppose even if you fuck up the shot, you're likely to already be on your way to death anyway. It's like a nice little insurance policy

Terrible idea. You would be fine just using azide alone. Why make it a mess for everyone with a violent gun method where someone has to clean up your cuts all over the place. Azide alone is enough to get the job done. Besides a gun shot isn't instant death. Every cell in your brain still has some oxygen left and some blood so you will be conscious even after the gun shot to some extent.
I want to make sure the job is done right... and sodium azide isn't 100% fatal if there is medical intervention... and the shotgun will mean that I won't have to experience all of the bad side effects of the azide

Still a bad idea. Just rent a motel and tell the staff to not bug you for the next 24-48 hours or whatever and use azide or sodium nitrite. And leave a "do no disturb" sign on the door just in case.

I am not well versed in SA or SN, but other than that I think having that could be the extra insurance to ensure a successful ctb. I would just recommend desensitizing yourself to the shotgun being in your mouth as well as dry firing the shotgun a few times to get some idea of the lbs of pressure needed to fire the gun.
no, I don't want to experience the bad effects and the pain of the sodium azide... the shotgun is necessary for me
