My first post in Recovery, I've been here for 3 months. I have a job interview on Thursday

I'm cautiously optomistic, considering I sent my application yesterday and I got a phone call at 10am this morning inviting me to meet the manager for an interview.

I haven't worked in 7 years, but my last job was in something I'm very passionate about. I hope that my years of being out of the workforce don't impact me negatively. My reference is a friend... Because I have lost touch with all my previous colleagues, I reached out to one and she left me on read. I can't blame her, I hold no grudges, but it's still sad that my network has dwindled to such a small pool of people.

I went to a charity shop/thrift store to pick up some professional looking clothes. I'm writing down possible questions and attempting, in my ADHD addled brain, to retain my answers.

I hope this is a turning point for me in my life. I think if I don't get this I am just going to check out. Turn into a husk of my former self and just vegitate until I inevitebly pass.

Haha, RECOVERY. (Honestly, I am trying, it's hard to shift your mindset in a few hours, after months of feeling like there is no exit other than by your own hand)

Please, think of me, I wont know that you are, but in some cosmic sense I will get a boost from it.

I feel like I tanked it. I really do feel like I just messed the whole thing up. It was so difficult. I froze, I'm so mad at myself. I don't want to be stuck in this jobless life for ever. Being optomistic really just makes it feel bad in the end.

I'm trying to keep my hopes up but my god it is so hard.

That's awesome! I'm on an internship hunt but only got one interview out of like 50 applications, and I don't think I did well. I will likely have the same outcome. I'm very happy for you that you got the job as a bank worker! I'm also extremely nervous when I start a job, so I hope it gets easier with time! :)

I'm so glad to hear that. Keep it up and be kind with yourself. Just try not to rob the bank and accidentally fled the country. And if you ever get fired you can do just that. Take care <33

I've done 2 shifts so far at a job I randomly cold emailed, I'm loving it. I said to a friend I met on here it feels so strange to have motion in my life. I'm trying my best, and that's what matters
