Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I'm currently staying with my mom in southern california. My dad found the ropes and ratchet + cornhole bags in my room about two weeks ago and didn't tell me till yesterday. Wtf?! I'm 18!! Is it even legal for parents to look through an adult's room??? Its my fucking fault I should have hidden these things. It was in my backpack that lay on the floor. IM FUCKED UP now cause my mom will become my conservator (basically a guardian of a disabled adult). It means that she can control almost every aspect of my life and make all the decisions. Also she will be able to see all the purchases i make online. What should i do??!!!! :(

Hugs Deafsnow.

Sorry to hear this. I experienced a similar situation when I was 17 - I went away on a trip and parents searched my room. Among other things found meds I hadn't been taking, things I wrote. This was after a hospitalization so it was bad for me. Felt so violated.

It's awful but I'm sure your parents are only doing this because they care but they cannot truly understand your situation.

I asked my therapist about hospitalization, emergency contacts, family etc - and she told me that as an adult even if I'm hospitalized or whatever it would be confidential and family wouldn't even be told unless I gave permission for the hospital to do so. (Though i have no idea if being considered disabled would change this). I live in NY so not sure if laws are different other places.

Also they didn't catch you in the act so you can deny that you were planning to act. They may not believe you but worth a try.

❤️
