I feel as though Keaton Henson is a man who can embody the full, guttural feeling of heartache and the constant pain that pairs with life. All of his music feels similar to that small moment right before you burst into tears, but, compressed into each song. It makes me long for a time where feeling so hurt wasn't common.
Most every song he's done holds that delicate, aching feeling that makes your heart sink. It hurts, but, it envelops you. To a degree it feels incredibly safe.
This one hits close to home, and it portrays how much pain we can internalize to reject hurting or worrying others, without noticing that they wouldn't care anyway. It's a cry for help, but also a sign for others to not come any closer, less they grow fearful and worried with what's genuinely happening below the surface. Usually the help we need won't come in time, and the hurt has spread to a point where it swallows you whole.
