Aside from this being the song where my username comes from, I also love this song because I've thought in the past, that when the time comes for me to start making preparations to ctb, one step in the process would be to pay ahead of time for a grave site and a marker that has the lyrics from 1:28 to 2:01 inscribed on it. If the cost was a problem, then I would probably have the inscription end at 1:41 instead, to shorten it a bit.

All I know is, I've had thoughts about suicide on and off since childhood, but it's only been in the last 2 years that it's been on my mind almost daily and I had already fallen in love with the song before it became more frequent, so it's not surprising that I put the two together. I'm not ready to do it just yet, but I have a backup plan just in case I ever need it.

Alternatively, I've considered using lyrics from the Slipknot song Surfacing for the inscription, but the people I might be leaving behind when the time comes, probably wouldn't like it much.

the song where my username comes from! the first time i ever heard this song i think i bawled my eyes out for at least an hour because i've never felt so seen and understood by music. this song completely changed my life (and turned me into an insufferable muso)

also using the footage from the 83 derby assembly halls show because i think it might be my favourite live performance ever
