Fruupp - Song for a Thought

I went out this morning
To see the day arise
Went by the river
Watched the water flowing by
The needles came for breakfast
To wallow by her side
They had their fun, she′s on the run
Growing prickly and black with mud

My name is Mr. Misanthrope
Living with pride
I've been so disillusioned
I just don′t give a dime
These things which come upon me
They stay all day and night
Won't someone listen to me
And let me see the light?

Silversun Pickups is of course probably best known for the song Lazy Eye, but it seems like most people don't get too far into looking at their other music. I can highly recommend tracks like "Nightlight" for something with a little higher energy (but only a little), and I'm particularly fond of "Panic Switch" as it relates strongly to anxiety, but "Freakazoid" sits much more comfortably with my current mood

The Town Inside Me by Aisha and Daisuke Ishiwatari

This is a theme song of a trans girl in a video game called Guilty Gear. This song always gives me a smile. For me, its really uplifting but in like a pushing way(like when someone pushes you onto the stage when you have stage fright). The lines,
Me without me
I'm the one to blame
and
I already have the gifts just can't open the box
I know all about it, no one can stop it
Unless I just had to do something 'bout it
"It's not even a case!"
hits so close to heart. I feel this whole song is helping me and assuring me that everything will be alright if I just stopped thinking too much. This is my go to song when I feel sad and I also love the Bridget, I mean who doesn't ;)

i really like this song. the beat makes me feel like i'm somewhere else, like a train on a cloudy day or a car during a late night. i can't really get out of my house, so that feeling it gives me reminds me that there's an entire planet outside of it.

This music is very pretty. I wish I could connect to the lyrics. I feel numb to them. Deep down where by feelings are hidden I think it connects to something that I felt when I was young. Sadness and beauty. Now I feel numb, scared or resentful. Mainly numb. I know that it won't come back.

Sometimes I just don't want to hear anymore words. Even in music it's not enough, feels like being talked at for things I've felt a million times, saying nothing new. I like instrumental tracks and have whole lists of them for when I'm feeling that way.

For something a bit faster paced, a good dnb track.

Fair warning, Jurrivh's tracks are typically named extremely sad things, but if sad piano gets you the right way, he's one to check. Also recommend Nights Amore, or Elijah Bossenbroek.

If I don't want to be talked at but still feel comforted by a voice inclusion, I like to look at stuff where a voice is mixed in like any other instrument, which is a thing I mostly find in various electronic genres.

Some music from my playlists relative to my mood. Take your own impressions from them.

Christina Perri has always been good but I've not paid as much attention.

Leon Thomas-Mutt :heart::)):heart::)):heart:

She said, "Take your time, what's the rush?"
I said, "Baby, I'm a dog, I'm a mutt"
She said, "Take your time, what's the rush?"
I said, "Baby, I'm a dog, I'm a mutt"
I'm a dog, I'm a mutt
I can't smoke on reggie, so pardon my bluntness
I see past pretty faces, so I got trouble trusting
But I'll let my guard down for you
Said I'll put my guard down for you
Said I'll be vulnerable
So you can break my heart if you want to
She said, "Take your time, what's the rush?"
I said, "Baby, I'm a dog, I'm a mutt"
She said, "Take your time, what's the rush?"
I said, "Baby, I'm a dog, I'm a mutt"
I'm a dog, I'm a mutt
New crib, told her, "Come through," it's time to bring it in
32 like my pants size 'cause a nigga tried breaking in
New condo, say your name at the front, you can stay if you want
It's been one of those nights, one of those nights I ain't had in a minute
It's been a minute, had to pop a shroom to recreate the feeling
But it's never the same as the first time we did it
First time we did it
But I'll let my guard down for you (for you)
Said I'll put my guard down for you
Said I'll be vulnerable
So you can break my heart if you want to
She said, "Take your time, what's the rush?" (Take your time, what's the rush?)
I said, "Baby, I'm a dog, I'm a mutt" (oh)
She said, "Take your time, what's the rush?" Oh (The rush)
I said, "Baby, I'm a dog, I'm a mutt" (ooh-ooh)
I'm a dog, I'm a mutt (I'm a dog)

One of my favorite bands of all time. I listened way more in high school, but a lot of their stuff is relatable in a way that nothing else is.

Just another version of the Beatles' song In My Life, performed by one of Brazil's greatest artists: Rita Lee. Both versions are incredible, but I can't help liking Rita Lee's version more.

Oh I love that too. Pogo has some good songs along those lines (though this particular example does have some intelligible words):

Music in languages I don't know can also kinda scratch that itch.
