I feel like I can never be a good person to everyone, some people will always be against me no matter what. I have found that the only way to exist is to put on a different mask for each cultural group. So that I can lie to everybody, and everyone can like me.

I think I have at least an average amount of compassion and altruism and goodwill and all that fluffy stuff, but I'm not sure that I'm good at *being* a person. I want other people to do well and be well, but I'm socially awkward and aloof and non-confrontational to a fault where I avoid confrontation even when it's to the other party's betterment.
