One Piece, but wait for it to end. (Joke)

Honestly...Castlevania and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (Watch the original too, it's not as good but still interesting)

Here's my recommendations (And the one's ill watch before CTB)
1. Steins Gate
2. Mirai Nikki (Edgy but fun)
3. Re:Zero (Emotional but good)
4. Bleach (Havent finished this one yet)
5. Mob Psycho (Really fun and hyped)
6. Solo leveling (Same thing here, its fun)
7. Kill la Kill
8. Tatami galaxy (really fast paced, haven't finished.
9. Serial experiment Lain (A must watch, philosophical, handles themes like: technology, god, existentalism), it also inspired a digital cult so that's fun.
10. Evangelion (Havent watched this one yet)

Movies:
1. Paprika (Philosophical, fun)
2. Perfect Blue
3. Tokyo Godfathers (Emotional, good)

Hope this helps!

As far as anime goes:
Eighty Six, one of the best series out there imo. A rare time where I think the anime elevates the source material strongly enough to recommend it over the light novels. I genuinely think everyone should watch this series, it has the best direction I've ever seen in anime. The scene choreography is incredible.
Revolutionary Girl Utena, absolute classic. The NGE of shoujo, as people call it. If you like things with psychological horror elements and many layers to dissect, you'll have a good time here. Make sure to watch the movie after you finish the series as well.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, I do think the original (R1 & R2) hold up very well still. Plus the dub is legendary. It's fun, the plot is a wild ride from start to finish, and despite coming out in like 2007 the animation is still gorgeous.
Princess Tutu, if you've enjoyed Madoka Magica, this is even better. Whatever you think this is going to be about, you will be wrong, in the best way possible.
Link Click, not technically an anime as it's a donghua but it's a great watch if you enjoy mysteries. Expertly crafted.
Your Name, I'm pretty sure most if not all people who watch anime have watched this movie, but just in case I'm putting it here.

Night on the Galactic Railroad movie:

Cowboy Bebob has good action and music. Read or Watch Girls Last Tour and maybe read the manga for full ending.

Would you mind listing some favorite movies/anime/TV shows that you enjoy? I feel like I could narrow down suggestions better with that info rather than just throwing out personal favs lol

Domestic Girlfriend is amazing, and I feel is probably relatable for many here. Not in a literal one for one, but in the emotional journey the mc experiences.

It does a great job showing how lost someone can get when chasing their happiness, how they can hurt and be hurt by people they care about. It shows how complicated things can become when the answer seemed simple at first.

For those of us who are recovering it also shows growth in a realistic way that isn't just Hallmark overnight transformations. It shows the work that goes into it, and how even afterwards its still bittersweet. That everything doesn't fix around you, and half of healing is perception/acceptance.

Its only half of the story from the manga, however they did an amazing job with the ending where I thought the story actually had finished, and on an amazing note at that.

Sorry for the essay, Im just really passionate about it.
One of my top 10.

Arcane!!!!- Even if you don't like league of legends, the show itself is absolutely fantastically insane. One of the best shows I've watched
Angel beats- the best anime I've ever watched, leaves a nice bittersweet feeling in your chest, I just wish it was longer
Midnight gospel- another really great show you need to watch, that I also wish was longer, definitely one that you'd need to lock in for tho
And lastly if you'd like some humour in a sitcom "the office" type style, what we do in the shadows- a show where a group of vampires are trying to find their place within society, as they make a documentary showcasing their daily lives and the chaos that ensues. Started off a little bit slow for the first couple episodes, but "sucks" you in as the show progresses.
These are the best shows I can recommend, I'll edit back when I decide on more anime to add

Madoka. The original series, then the movie(s?). I like the art style. And the story.

OP will have to die of old age if they decide to watch all of these shows. I'll hold my recommendations 😤
