Hi, and welcome :3

methadone is an opioid, while it can be a 'medical emergency' to OD on, according to:

and carisoprodol can also put one on life's edge... I am uncertain what effects can occur when mixing. Do they amplify each other... or cause other, more complex effects? Hard to say. While I like science, I don't encourage u to be a human experiment for the site, nor encourage finding rats to do the tests on.

Opioids can and are reversed routinely with naloxone (because drug users routinely OD many would otherwise die from them).

See this quote about methadone (ignore point 1 and 3 if u still have it at time of reading):
To be clear, this is not my preferred method. I was very distressed this weekend, and now that I can think more clearly, I have abandoned this idea. It might be a method for urgent situations, especially for people who already know how to get methadone (or other opioids), but it carries a lot of risks. I do not recommend this. The problems:

1. You need A LOT of the stuff. Where I live, addicts get methadone as a liquid solution containing 10mg/ml. The average adult needs at least 1g to ctb. More if they're heavy or already used to opioids. So somebody trying to ctb with methadone would need at least 100ml of the methadone liquid. Seeing as the starting dose for the average addict is 20mg a day, you'd need 50 doses of the stuff. Good luck getting 50+ addicts to sell you their daily dose... (or one addict to quit cold-turkey for 50 days) That would be fun, at that point you'd have cured somebody's opioid addiction. Jokes aside, that seems unrealistic.

2. Risk of failure is high, as with any type of OD. And the consequences of failure are really bad: Failure in this case means giving yourself an opioid addiction. At that point, you'd be alive and ironically, ready to sign up for a methadone prescription... Opioid withdrawal is no joke.

3. Risks of aquiring drugs (of any kind) on the black market: The usual risks apply, such as being sold something else than what you want, being scammed etc. There is also the risk of getting an unwelcome reputation with the local addict population, if you try sourcing methadone in person. Get on their bad side, and you risk getting hurt. Get too close with them and you're in for bad relationships. Or worse, they might like you so much that they try to stop you from ctb. There is also the risk of getting caught by the police whilst trying to source methadone in your local area, or, if buying online, having the package intercepted by law enforcement.

Thank you so much for your reply! But I'd still like to know if 1 gram, combined with all these medications, is enough to cause death?
What's the best way to use it: intravenously or orally? Will it hurt? Has anyone experienced an overdose?(*´・ω・)

It seems like it could be fatal (without quick medical intervention, and assuming little to no tolerance), but I'm not sure one's tolerance levels of the drugs.

I'm not certain about intravenous vs oral, since some medications weren't designed for injection (maybe the fillers could clot and merely block blood to an arm), and idk whether u have oral or injectable forms.

It may or may not be painless (ofc, if intravenous, injecting oneself will hurt a little, I doubt I'd be able to inject anything, even insulin*, into myself)

iirc, there are different effects if surviving, from nothing much, to fear when breathing becomes less possible.

*afaik (and at time of post), I don't have diabetes.

How do I get some? Do they have an expiration date? Can I store them in like a drawer?

  • prescriptions maybe (idk the prescription system to comment further)
  • yes, medications expire as the active ingredients gradually degrade, for reference, panadol expires in 2-3 years.
  • yes, a drawer is (typically) a "cool, dry place" for storing medicines.

Damn, that's a shame. How hard would it be for me to get a prescription?

Depends on the doctor and what they have to prescribe. There was a time when I got pink liquid for antibiotics, and later (and with a different doctor), when I thought I had smth similar, asked if I needed antibiotics, and the doctor said it isn't needed (and yes, the condition resolved itself iirc without antibiotics).

Yes, I also saw a video of a guy who took methadone and died during a stream. You can find it on "watchpeopledie" or something like that. But many people say it's possible to survive and be disabled, although I doubt it. Because even small overdoses have resulted in death without additional medications...
In any case, the question is relevant, if you have any thoughts, I will be glad to read them!! 1000020688

Hi. I'm Russian, and my English is poor. I'm planning to use the methadone method. I have 1 gram of methadone, 6 Xanax tablets, 3 carisoprodol tablets, quetiapine, and alcohol. I want to take 1 gram of methadone (along with an anti-vomiting medication), take the counter-pills, and wait for the effects to wear off. Is this method reliable, and what can I add? Will it hurt? How long will it last? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know why the article was translated entirely into Russian.

What about someone that is in a methadone maintenance program, like methadone clinic patient? What if you take 100 mg of liquid methadone every single day, how much would it take to ctb if you were to drink the bottles they let you take home? I only go once a month so I'm sent home with 27 bottles each time. I've been on it for a long time and don't really know how tolerance and all that play in. As crazy as it might sound, I don't really know much about drugs. I've also heard that what you get from the clinic isn't real methadone? I'm not too sure and there's no one I can talk to about this without negative reactions and of course you can't just Google my question. I'm not 100% sure when I'm wanting to do this, I need to find the right window of time so I won't be found too soon. And because I need to take it daily, I would have to pick my day to be the day they send me home with new monthly batch. Thank you in advance for any and all advice.

note that methadone can be reversed with naloxone, and there is a risk of losing access to the at-home option

Yeah that's why I'm trying to figure out how much to take and timing of course when no one's around for a while.
