Anyone from Canada familiar with the MAID program? I want to know if I would possibly be eligible. I don't have a disease that will kill me, but I do have a few chronic illnesses that are incurable and I'm in pain and of course the emotional/mental side effects associated with that. I don't have a family doctor but I have a neurologist. I fear bringing it up with him though. I know he'll tell me I'm crazy and will be against it.

IIRC if you have a (physical) chronic illness that's severely degrading your quality of your life, you'd be eligible, though you might have a hard time finding doctors to sign on if this article is any indication.
