• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Something that I like to do occasionally is make some really low effort abstract paintings in procreate. I'm no good at art, so it's nice to throw it all out the window and just scribble my feelings. It can help center me if I'm having a breakdown and it can be fun too
Here's one I made just now:

AbstractArt
See, low effort.
It doesn't have to be a drawing, it can be anything. Whatever calls to you.

i like photography or collaging. it helps me feel better sometimes. i don't collage that often because i don't have a lot of physical material i can do it with. i like your art. people have told me to take up an instrument but the whole thing makes me feel stressed and stupid. it's hard to want to learn something so difficult when the learning curve feels so steep in comparison to doing something intuitive like watercolor or digital art.

I certainly found out that it helps just to take your feelings out on canvas (whichever form that may be). Unfortunately I don't do it so often, but this is a good reminder. The last time I did so this is what I ended up with:

That looks great!! The subtle colors and aggressive brushstrokes manages to capture a simultaneous sense of depression and anger. Perhaps a struggle? I can't tell whether the white lines look more like scratches or something growing upwards. I like this one. I feel like I get lost in it when I look at it.
