It was down for a bit. Has a new layout. No way to tell if it's the same person running it.

I think this is great news as imo it was the best resource to point people towards for easy consumability and a balanced approach to the topic.

It's like a comfort blanket for me. There can't be a part of it I haven't read multiple times but when I'm really hurting I just browse it and remember that ctb is available, even if I never take it, and it calms me.

They seem to have fixed the links, the various methods are accessible again now. They don't seem to have updated the content at all though, it kinda feels about ten years behind...

Weird. I'm US. If I search it out on duckduckgo and click the link from there, I get the 404 error. If I click on the link in this thread, I go right to the site, np. Same address both.

It has never seemed to me to be an impartial site, however how can this be, it seems quite clear to me that it wants to induce you to live, I remember reading the various methods and it makes them all seem painful or unsuccessful, without considering that every second reminds you that you can ask for help. Then it is not updated, there is no SN as a method.

I remember browsing LAH many years ago. Of course you can't judge a website by its layout, but it feels too modern for my liking. I'd like to see an update on current and newer methods.

It's a pro-choice site but with a lot of pro-life stuff, with hotlines and resources everywhere including under methods. This site has it too, though it's not as invasive.

Also slightly outdated information, since the most lethal methods of suicide is from studies in the 1990s, and suicide rates have gone up since as well as new methods being discovered.

It's a decent resource however. I'm genuinely surprised it's still being run.

That's good news. It still needs updates on methods but it's a decent source that serves many. I don't know why people are moaning for it's help lines and recovery talks. It's a pro-choice site, that means the same way you can choose to end your life you have a choice to choose recovery and help too. What is the point of being pro-choice if there is nothing to choose from except one thing.
